With so much pressure put on the design and execution of the day, it is no wonder that so many brides turn to planners for help. Holden Michael Events is one of those planners and coordinators whose reputation precedes him. He incorporates a bold style with immaculate execution fulfilling all of his clients' wants and needs. 

WeddingDay Exclusive Style Shoot: Zao Island

Located in Valparaiso, Indiana, Zao Island is an exhilarating venue made for couples who are searching for a fun space to celebrate their wedding! We looked to Kelsey Hahn, co-owner of White Dahlia Events, to curate the elegant and stimulating design of this WeddingDay Exclusive Style Shoot. Kelsey was excited to style this shoot, as Zao Island is an amusement center. She says, “I was perplexed with the challenge of coming up with a style and theme that would be fun yet elegant—but after seeing the space, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. So, I came up with a Mid-Century Modern theme. I wanted it to be colorful yet tasteful.” With The Greenhouse at Zao Island’s contemporary and vibrant style, it was easy to bring this vision to life.

The Wedding Story of Sarah and William Weed

For Sarah and William, meeting and getting to know each other seemed as easy and natural as a lakeside breeze. Sarah explains, “My husband and I met at a gathering I had over the summer of 2013. His cousin, who was my roommate, invited him to come up to our lake house one evening. From there, we just continued to hang out and got to know each other.” William later popped the question on what would be a life changing trip for them both to Quebec City, Canada.
